Korean violinist, Bomsori Kim, is visiting Toronto next month
performing with Rafał Blechacz at Koerner Hall

South Korean violinist, Bomsori Kim, is performing in Toronto this spring.
She is a prize winner of a number of prestigious international violin competitions such as the Tchaikovsky International Competition, the Queen Elisabeth Competition, the International Jean Sibelius Violin Competition, the Joseph Joachim International Violin Competition Hannover, the Montreal International Musical Competition, and the Sendai International Music Competition.
Her name, Bomsori, is a pure korean name meaning 'sond of spring'.
Kim will be joined by the world-renowned pianist, Rafał Blechacz.
The duo's first recording together was released last year by Deutsche Grammophon.
Their concert at Koerner Hall on April 25 will cover Beethoven's Violin Sonata No. 1 in D Major, op. 12, Fauré's Violin Sonata No. 1 A Major, op. 13, Debussy's Violin Sonata G Minor, L. 140 and Szymanowski's Violin Sonata D Minor, op. 9. Doors are open at 8PM.
